Christmas run-around!
Christmas run-around! That's what my Christmas was like this year! We went from place to place, house to house! It was exhausting but so much fun, and the kids seemed to be OK with it so I was all on board with that! Nothing makes for a good holiday than the kids behaving like angels! Christmas Eve started with lunch with the Pool's (my parents and the "new" Pool's, Chad and Krista) at Boulder Station (gotta love Vegas right??) then off to the in-law's house for dinner and festivities! My mother-in-law doesn't know the meaning of a few presents! She must have had at least 30 things under the tree for Hunter alone! I am buried in toys and "stuff"! I'll be honest, it almost didn't fit into the back of the Trailblazer! Crazy, I know! Jeff and I played Santa and I fell asleep somewhere after 11 pm but before midnight! Then, up at 6:45 a.m. with coffee in hand to open our presents. My parents drove over and watched the kids open up their gifts and after I made a huge breakfast! It was great, but not over quite yet! We still had to do dinner at their house and, yes, open more presents! I am gifted out! It was a fabulous season and I was glad we were here and not living far away, but next year I think I will invite everyone over Christmas morning to share gifts and make a big breakfest and be done with it! We'll see, but at least I have a whole year to plan my attack!
Cookie Exchange

Every year I host a cookie exchange and every year it gets better and better! I have to honest though! Its exhausting to plan! At least it was this year. I learn what not to do, what to add and what to make from previous years and it really is evolving into a fun thing to do! For example the first year I had it (in WA) there were only four people including myself. I tried to coordinate what everyone was going to make, and what a mistake that was! I thought that it would be easy, but everyday someone was changing their minds and calling so I would have to call everyone else and update them all because I didn't want double of the same kind of cookie! Forget that! The year after that we did get double of the same cookie, but who cares? We had fun and enjoyed it all! So, here are some cute pictures of everyone who came to the 2008 cookie exchange! Hope to see you all next time and maybe even a few new faces!
Getting Started!
So now I have added blogging to my list of things "to-do"! Like I didnt already have enough! HA! I have been forgetting more and more the fun things little kids do and thought this was an easy way to get it all down and create some kind of memory book for them one day! So, until that day comes enjoy all the up and downs and funnies of our life!
