Just a rant!

So I usually only work on Saturday OR Sunday, not both. But, they have been short at work, and seriously, who doesn't need extra money on their paycheck right?! So this entire month I have been working both days every weekend (boo hoo, I know) but, it does make it so we don't have an entire day as a family to spend together, so its stinks sometimes. Anywho, Jeff absolutely kills me! He actually said (I think he was half asleep, so I am letting it slide this time!) to me last night after I dare disturb his sleep to "deal" with kids' needs (Hunter wanted another blanket and about 10 min. later Allison woke up and wanted a bottle!) "stop waking me up"! WHAT?????? REALLY??? He is lucky I was delirious from working 12hrs and getting no sleep the night before and couldn't really process what he said to me or it would have been WW III in here! I don't get it! I know they aren't wired like us Mom are, but REALLY??? And while I am on it, whats up with needing absolute silence when he on the phone, but I am expected to operate with noise levels that sound like there are 20 kids in the house, not 2! So funny! This is defiantly one of those times I look at that little sign that reads "Everything is going to be all right", smile and take a deep breath and remember why I love him! Ahhh...Men!

Spring fun

Hunter drug out the good old red radio flyer wagon the other day and we cleaned it off. We have been having awesome weather (minus the winds!) so we sat outside the other night and pulled the kids around on the wagon. They loved it and Allie was so funny! The sun dry-rotted the seatbelts last summer so its a good thing she could hold on to the sides, but she is a brave little girl and the more comfortable she got, the braver she got too! We finally had to pull her out because she kept leaning as far as she could over the sides to watch the grass go by I guess. Hunter tried pulling Jeff around to...it didnt really work out to well!

Hunter asked if he could write (in chalk) on the walls outside...I said yes...be specific...I wasn't.

New recipe blog

When Tecia and I were in Cedar we thought up a blog to create together. We both love cooking and preserving our families recipes that we decided to start one where we could do just that! Check us out. We rock if I do say so myself!

Cedar City 2/09

Tecia and I met in Cedar City this past weekend and honestly, this trip was all for the boys! Hunter and Logan are exactly one year apart (Hunter the elder of the two) and they have a great friendship! So, since they live in Provo and we in LV, Ceadar is the perfect half way point! It was such an awsome trip! We didnt do a thing and thats the way I like it when I go there. My usual goal is to get into my sweats and stay in them for as long as possiable! Hunter and Logan played and played and played! We thought there was going to be a ton of snow on the ground, but there wasnt any at all so it made it even nicer cause the boys stayed outside for hours, riding bike, throwing rocks, and swinging on the swing set next door. Tecia made some super yummy snacks and stopped in Beaver for cheese...how could it get any better??!! We went to St. George and got In & Out on Saturday and a slice of pie and pot pies for dinner and dessert! Hunter tolerated the trip to St. George, but towards the end just kept saying "Can we please go back to Utah now"? He is so funny! He doesnt think we are in UT unless we are physically at the house. We try to explain it, but he doesnt believe us! Tecia and I also watched a certain movie about 10 times in two days! Tecia cracked me up forwording it to the parts she liked the best! Thanks for the fun trip Tecia and Logan, we cant wait to do it again!!!

Painting...thank you Tecia!

Me around bed time every night probably saying something like "I am so done with kids now"! Thanks for putting up with me! HA!!!

Not the best picture (Tecia is an eye closer in pic's!) but here we are holding the movie we watched all weekend long!

Mommy tip #247

If your child announces loudly in the store that he has to "use the lavatory " (as in "MOM, I GOTTA GO POOP"), act like its normal and every kid talks like that! Then, pass out from embarrassment in the bathroom stall!

Why I love him:

Because:
-He drew a hop scotch game in chalk on the front path-way for Hunter to play
-He BBQ'S for me :)
-He NEVER get embarrassed...seriously...
-He defends me against anyone
-He believes in me
-He got me plane tickets using his flier miles
-He takes the kids fishing
-He tries to dress Allie in coordinating outfits and attempts her hair!
-He plants and maintains "my" garden and flowers
-He writes I love you in chalk for me to see when I walk in after a long day at work
-He tries at us!
-He does the bills without complaining
-He gets things I cant reach
-He buys the beer I like even though he probably wants "his"
-He is himself!

I love you :)

Getting bigger every day

Allie is growing so fast! She is full blown crawling now, and her little knees are red all the time. She loves to sit in this little chair that we saved from Hunter's baby days and this is her favorite way to sit in it: sideways with both of her feet on it. She flips the "pages" of the book back and forth and pounds on the top of the desk lamp and does that cute baby talk that babies do! I keep catching her pulling herself up onto things and I am sure it is just a matter of time before she is walking! Such a sweetheart!

Happy 29th Jeff!

OK, today really isn't his 29th, but it is the only day that all of us (minus Chad and Krista) could get together, so we celebrated a couple days early! Debbie suggested a BBQ and provided half the food, so I thought hosting it at our house and cooking would be a fair trade. It worked out perfectly. Jeff and I (honestly mostly Jeff though!) spent the day cleaning the front/back yards and the inside of the house and around 3pm everyone arrived. We had steak, chicken, salad, potatoes, shrimp cocktails, and bread. AND, for the b-day cake I got a cookies n cream ice cream cake from cold stone (totally a surprise for Jeff) and his mom brought a carrot cake! It was a fabulous day and super easy to deal with, as we were at our house and the kids were comfortable! Plus, there were lots of grandma's and grandpa's to get kisses and hugs from and to play with! Of course, I wasn't being a very good photographer, so there are only a few pics, and at the very end of the party, oh well. Happy 29th honey, we love you!

Us, except Allie really wanted what was behind me!

Jeff being Jeff, wearing Allies hat for a laugh from the kids!

Order has arrived!

I was super excited to get the mail today! My order from Sparkle Power (aka Candace Todd-Duke) arrived today and the posters are amazing!!! I cant wait to hit up Target tomorrow to find the perfect frames for these! If you haven't checked out her shop, you should! Click here. She has some wonderful signs as well as some beautiful sewing projects! I cant wait to add more of her signs to my collection! I really needed to hear these exact words the other day, so when I saw her new stuff go up, I couldn't resist! Can you?
Thanks again Sparkle Power, I love the signs and how they make me feel when I read them :)

Mommy tip #1852:

Turn off all phone ringers in the house when the kids go down for their naps...You don't want some dumb tel-marketer ruining nap time...

Sweet boy

Hunter went out front yesterday to check if his Dad was home yet. As I was watching him from the window, I saw him run to the driveway, come back and do a double-take at the flower bush near the front walk. Then I saw him grab a flower off of it and run inside. After shutting the door, he ran over to me with the flower and says "Here mommy, I picked a flower for you"! He was so proud of himself! Me too! I love you Hunter!
