Thirsty Girl!
How I need to remember to think!

"But the biggest mistake I made is the one that most of us make while
doing this. I did not live in the moment enough. This is particularly
clear now that the moment is gone, captured only in photographs.
There is one picture of the three of them, sitting in the grass on a
quilt in the shadow of the swing set on a summer day, ages 6, 4 and 1.
And I wish I could remember what we ate, and what we talked about, and
how they sounded, and how they looked when they slept that night. I wish
I had not been in such a hurry to get on to the next thing: dinner,
bath, book, bed. I wish I had treasured the doing a little more and the
getting it done a little less.... - Anna Quindlen

Mommy tip #71
Know ALL of your kids' hiding spots. Hunter has been hiding stuff around here for months now and, as it turns out I don't know all his hiding places like I thought I did. Not so funny when he hides a Redbox DVD. Hmmm...wonder what the best approach to that phone call is????

Washington!
I had such a great time in WA! My wonderful husband let me use his flyer miles to fly to Seattle for free and Brandie graciously opened up her home (not to mention gave me her bed!) to me for 4 whole days! Thanks Brandie, I had a blast with you! It was so nice to see everyone I hadnt seen in almost 2 yrs. and it was a perfect get away! Not too long, not too short! I have to admit though it really made me want to move back! I really did love it there. I love living near our families here though. Here on some pics of my trip. I cant wait for my next girls' weekend!

Cute story
We have had another bad week here at the Reece house with everyone being sick again! Allison woke up vomiting all night one night and sure enough the next day Hunter had it too (then me, then Jeff!) Thankfully it was only a 24 hr bug! I wasnt going to take Allison to the Dr. but my Mom talked me into going, thinking she may have another ear infection, and, she does! Poor girl...
When it was Hunter's turn to have the flu, he couldnt keep anything down. I mean NOTHING! Not even water or crackers. So, I had another sleepless night. He kept asking for water, telling me that he was really thirsty, but it would start him vomiting again, so I told him no. At some point he ended up in our bed and started being really annoying (ie: talking really loud, and putting his legs on top of mine, and not removing them) so I gave in to his water requests (very small amounts at a time) and put him in his room. He asked for the water to be in there w/him, but I told him no, that I didnt want him throwing up again. Around 5:30 I snapped awake and went to his room to check on him. He was awake and asked if we could go downstais and watch T.V. I said sure, and then he says "OH! Let me just get my water first". I thought he was going in my room to get it and was very confused when he ran into his. When he walked out w/the water bottle that I thought I had left on my nightstand I asked him if I had given it to him. He said to me "Nope, when you was sleeping I was really sneaky and just got it from your bed"! Laugh my head off! I thought it was so funny that he was that smart to just wait until I fell back asleep to go in and get what I wouldnt give him!
