End of Summer

So, I am not really feeling summer anymore. You know, you remember how excited I was for it here. But, I am so ready for fall...I keep looking at my soup pots and my baking supplies and I long for days where cooking all day in the kitchen wont make my power bill $500....C'mon Fall! I need you!

Crafty mamma!

Its been a while since my last post! In my defense I have had trouble uploading pictures from my camera to my computer so I had to find a different way to get them off my camera...on the other hand I haven't really been taking pics of anything so that makes for boring blogging! HA! So anyways here is what I have been up to lately! LOTS OF CRAFTING!!!! I'm in one of those moods this summer! Here are some of the things I have been making. On a side note, I would like to say that although I am "crafty", I am NOT a perfectionist, and I am not the best craft'er and some stuff I am still learning how to do, so...with that said, here it all is!

Cute snowman embroidery project I got from my friend Lisa. I thought it only fitting I giver her the first one I made! I will be making lots of these soon...cute, fast, cheap and great gifts! My kind of project!

The bug box idea that I got from here. Does it look the same? No. Do I care? No. Does Hunter use it? Nope. But, I tried and that's what counts!

Cute clipboard idea I got from here. Again, I am not a perfectionist and this was my first time doing this, but, you know what? I like it even though it has air bubbles all over it, and lets be honest people...its going to be covered up with papers at some point, so really...its OK right?!

The cross-stitch project that I have been working on for my mother-in-law for her birthday which happens to be in oh, 7 days! Thank goodness she is going out of town! She just bought me 2 weeks to finish this baby up...hopefully I do, otherwise...Merry Christmas!! HA!

Close up view. Its going to be of 2 angels with a saying in between them that reads :Bless this Autumn Harvest...there is one for all 4 seasons and I have been eying them for about 7 years now! No time to make them like the present right??!!

And lastly (and my PERSONAL FAVORITE!!!) my coffee cozy!

Front.....

and the (cute!) back!

Mommy Tip #65

Be ready for embarrassment at all times. I took Hunter to the store late last night and as we were walking in he was scratching his butt. I was just about to ask him if we needed to go the the bathroom so he could scratch privately, when I look up to see my son standing in the entrance of the store with his shorts around his ankles, and his hand scratching his butt! I couldn't get to him fast enough! No...seriously...I may be able to try out for a professional baseball team, cause I sprinted to him faster than I have ever sprinted before and slide on the floor to grab his shorts and yank them up! I was mortified! The kind of mortified where you don't even look over your shoulder to check who saw it...I just grabbed him and ran off to the bathroom. Which by the way didn't do any good cause that old itch had been scratched and wasn't in need of any more attention! Soooo...EMBARRASSING!

The epitome of Summer

Ya, I thought so too!

Allie got tubes!

This was the fastest, easiest procedure ever! They only had her in the surgery room for about 10 minutes and she was done, waking up from the anesthesia which by the way was only the gas, not an I.V. That day she stood up, started walking without falling and the rest is history! I havent seen her crawling since. Poor thing! All those ear infections made her too wobbly to stand up. Here are a few cute pics of the sweet little thing in the pre-op waiting area.

Making a funny face and lovin' on her baby!
