Just a few thoughts

Allie is getting tubes in her little ears tomorrow and although I am not overly nervous, I do have a little anxiety about it. She is so small to me that it's hard to imagine my baby going into surgery! The other thing I am worried about is that she can not have anything to eat or drink past midnight tonight. Although she doesnt wake up in the middle of the night anymore (thank goodness) she does want her bottle 1st thing in the a.m.! That will be the challenge...at least she is 1st in line for surgery so she wont have to wait too long, but still....poor thing. On a side note: when I started writing this post I immediately thought of this picture to put with it. It is Allie on her 1st b-day going to bed for the night. She looks so cute and calm and relaxed. This is what I am praying for tomorrow! Until the next post...

What I REALLY, REALLY REALLY want right now!

I really want to be living on a big piece of property, close enough to family, yet far enough away. Somewhere where my kids can run free with lots of grass pastures that my husband can cut with a super cool (if that is even possible) riding lawn mower and the biggest garden I can muster up. I want to grow everything under the sun and to be able to live off what we grow and can what we cant eat. I want a few fruit trees to lay under and read books and have picnics and a little creek to fish in. I want to see my son playing catch with his Dad and my daughter running through wildflowers. **sigh....***

8 happy years!

Happy 8 yr anniversary honey! I love you and here are a few reasons why:

I love the things you do for me
I love what you do for your children
I love watching you play with your children
I love secretly holding your hand at night when your fast asleep
I love that you open lids for me and reach things for me that I cant
I love that you fix stuff for me
I love that you are smart enough to hide your drill from me
I love that you teach me everything you know about fishing
I love your laugh
I love your hands
I love how you make stuff look so easy (like driving a boat, and parallel parking!)
I love that you bait my hook for me cause I hate touching worms
I love how much patience you have with me

I could go on and on....I love you! Here is to many more years together!

4th of July

We went on a camping trip to Panguitch, UT this year for the 4th with Jeff's family which was a new experience for everyone! In all the times Jeff and I have camped, we have never once been camping with them! It was really nice. Let me clarify that a little: the experience was really nice, NOT the weather! It rained and thunder stormed on and off the entire time we were there. We are talking serious rain storms! We even got hit by a summer hail storm if you can believe that! Unfortunately I didn't take a SINGLE picture! I know right...??? I don't even have an excuse. I thought about it a lot and I even brought the video camera, but not a single moment was recorded. Oh well....I actually don't get all worked up about that kind of stuff. I figure I have my camera in my families faces enough to not get all flabbergasted about one weekend that I (GASP!) didn't bother getting the camera out at all. Anyway! Enough about that, more about the trip. We got there Thurs night and set up shop and fished along the shore Friday and rented a huge pontoon boat Saturday where we continued to fish for most of the day and evening with no luck at all! Not even a lost fish...nuthin! There was a great fireworks show on the lake and an awesome live band to listen to after that. All in all, fun trip!
